Pickled Red Onions

This recipe for pickled red onions takes just 30 minutes to make and it is so easy. They add tangy flavour to sandwiches, salads and many other dishes

Ingredients

  • 200 g red onions peeled and thinly sliced
  • 150 ml apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  • In a saucepan mix the water, vinegar, salt, and sweetener and whisk well. Cook over medium heat until the mixture is warm enough so the salt and sugar have dissolved.
  • Cut the onions into tiny slices and add to a clean jar.
  • Pour the vinegar mixture over the onions and mix with a spoon. Press the onions if needed so they are fully covered with the marinate. Let the onions marinate for at least 30 minutes. You can keep in the fridge for at least 2-3 weeks.
