Ingredients needed for potato wedges
- 1 kg potatoes
- 3-4 tbs olive oil
- 2 tbs sweet paprika powder
- sea salt by taste
- black pepper by taste
- hot sause by taste
- 1 tbs Worcester Sauce vegan version of it
- 50 g polenta

Who doesn’t like homemade chips?! At least I don’t know such people… but many are not preparing them because of the frying itself… We can make more healthy baked potatoes with a little oil and still that tasty.
This recipe overbuilds on the homemade baked potatoes and makes them crunchier, spicier and a little more lazy… No peeling but just washing with a brush… I buy bio potatoes for the purpose, I don’t have home grown ones unfortunately… The ordinary (non bio) potatoes in stores are being processed in order to keep them fresh for a long time and I would not risk eating such a potato with the peel.
Preparing the Potato Wedges
POTATO WEDGES
Uniquely delicious potato wedges or country potatoes, a little spicy, very crunchy and cooked in a little oil.

Ingredients
- 1 kg potatoes bio/ organic/ homemade
- 3-4 tbs olive oil
- 2 tbs sweet paprika powder
- sea salt by taste
- black pepper by taste
- hot sause by taste
- 1 tbs Worcester Sauce vegan version of it
- 50 g polenta
Instructions
- Heat up the oven at 200 degrees. Wash the potatoes, better with a brush, so they can get well-cleaned of dirt.
- Dry the potatoes and cut them in large pieces. Little potatoes you cut in 4 and larger ones in 6. Put them in a large bowl.
- Add the olive oil to the potatoes and stir. Then add the sauces, red and black pepper and salt and again stir well. Each potato has to be covered in spices.
- At the end add the corn semolina (polenta) and stir again.
- Put in the oven and leave the potatoes bake for like 40-45 minutes till obtaining a golden color.
Notes
You can serve them with sauce by will. We eat them with spicy homemade sauce of tomatoes, red peppers and chillies similar to tomato salsa.
