Warm Christmas Punch

We miss the Christmas Markets this year (2020). We miss meeting friends there, the smell or caramelized Almonds and the Glühwein (German mulled wine). This year we are bringing some Christmas market feeling for Home. This weekend I was working on few new recipes for Christmas Market favorites.

My Christmas Market favorite is Glühwein and my husband always drinks the Warm Christmas Punch. In Germany and Austria you can find this kind of warm non-alcoholic Punch at every Christmas Market. It is usually called Kinderpunsch – meaning Punch for Children. And indeed that’s a drink that kinds love but grownups too.

The reason I do not like the Punch at the Market is that they make it way to sweet for my taste. The good thing about making the German Style Punch ant home is that I can use juice of good bio quality and add as much sugar as I like.

If you also wich to make an alcoholic version of the warm punch it is super easy. You can turn this non-alcoholic warm drink into alcoholic one by adding a shot of Rum or Amaretto.
